A lively place, the resort features sun and fun, with facilities for all ages, including a children's club with appropriate activities for children 4–7 and 8–12. A health spa pampers adults (surcharge for all spa and beauty products, treatments, services).

Two pools include a large main pool as the center of water activities and poolside games. Farther along the beach, is a music-free "quiet pool" for adults and an adjacent spa tub with ocean view. The beach runs for miles, but swimming in the Sea of Cortez is prohibited due to strong currents.

The 400-room, Mexican hacienda-style resort is a five-story building in a U-shape enclosing gardens and pools. Amenities include four swimming pools, three cocktail lounges with pool bars, a ballroom for evening performances, and a health spa. The spa offers massage, body, and facial treatments, hair and nail care, fitness equipment, men's and women's steam rooms, and an eight-person spa tub.

Children are greeted at check-in with a surprise gift and enjoy a Mini Club with a busy, supervised play and activity program set up by age: 4–7 and 8–12. The club is open 12 hours daily with supervised lunch and dinner. A children's water park with slides, draws kids of all ages, who can also enjoy tumbling space, piñatas, and movies starring favorite cartoon characters.

Café Solaris - This air-conditioned, brick-and-beam restaurant serves buffet breakfasts of Mexican plates, waffles, made-to-order omelettes and buffet dinners. Windows offer views of the Sea of Cortez. Air-conditioned interior or outside terrace. Reservations not required.

Rosmarinos - Beside the main pool and facing the beach, this informal, open-air place serves lunch and dinner buffets of steaks, fresh salads and a wide variety of hot dishes. Open daily. Reservations not required. Dress code: Casual attire (no swimwear).

Pancho's Restaurant - Brightly colored decor featuring Mexican murals puts diners in the proper mood for this a la carte dinner house's Mexican fare. Reservations not required. Dress code: no shorts, T-shirts or beach sandals.

Marco Polo - Under a sky-painted vaulted ceiling and with Romanesque decor, this blue-and-white-linen restaurant serves a la carte dinners in an Italian atmosphere. Reservations not required. Dress code: no shorts, T-shirts or beach sandals.

Poolside Snack Bar - Serves tacos, burgers, hot dogs, nachos, and other fast foods. Open late morning until the dinner hour.

Lobby Bar - Live music four days a week. Cocktails, drinks, and snacks. Overnight sandwiches and beverages are served here until breakfast service begins in Café Solaris.

Sports Bar - Located on the first floor in front of the gardens. Televisions, pool tables, and music are the attractions at this nightspot. Open daily from late afternoon.

Pool Bar - Including a swim-up side, this bar is the place for 150 tropical drinks from mid-morning until dinner.
